Global Mission Technology Partners (GMTP) is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building production\-quality software, and working directly with clients.
This role combines hands\-on software engineering with technical consulting. You will design, develop, test, and deploy modern software solutions while helping clients translate business requirements into secure, scalable, cloud\-based applications.
We are looking for an engineer who is equally comfortable writing code, discussing technical trade\-offs with clients, and leveraging modern AI\-assisted development tools to deliver exceptional results.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy production software for commercial and government clients.
- Build modern web applications using Python and JavaScript, leveraging frameworks such as React and Next.js. Experience with Rust is a plus.
- Develop secure REST APIs and cloud\-native applications deployed to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement DevSecOps and GitOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and containerized deployments.
- Design and optimize relational databases using SQL.
- Use AI\-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, or similar platforms to improve development productivity while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Review, validate, and improve AI\-generated code before incorporating it into production systems.
- Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present technical recommendations, demonstrate solutions, and communicate project status.
- Produce professional technical documentation and client deliverables.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, reusable software components, and continuous process improvement.
- Travel occasionally to client locations when required.
Required Qualifications
- 8\+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Python and modern web application development.
- Experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, or similar front\-end technologies.
- Experience deploying production applications to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Experience using AI\-assisted software development tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
